Donna Dennis
Donna Dennis is Professor of Law and Justice Frederick W. Hall Scholar at Rutgers School of Law-Newark. Her career in legal history progressed with a MA in History from Yale University, a JD from Yale Law School, and, most recently, a PhD in History from Princeton University. She has written about obscenity law in nineteenth century USA, AIDS screening and discrimination, and gay youths’ right to education.

Michael Lerner
Michael Lerner is Associate Dean of Studies at Bard High School Early College in New York City, where he previously served as Associate Professor of History. He earned a BA at Columbia University in 1989 and a Ph.D. at New York University in 1999. His dissertation earned the Urban History Association’s Best Dissertation prize in 2000. Dry Manhattan: Prohibition in New York City is his first book.

Tony Michels is George L. Mosse Associate Professor of American Jewish History at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His research and teaching interests include American Jewish history, Yiddish culture, Russian Jewish history, socialism, working-class history, and nationalism. His book, A Fire in Their Hearts: Yiddish Socialists in New York, won the Salo W. Baron Prize for an outstanding first book from the American Academy for Jewish Research.
